Ideal Beach Resort

Each condo is owned by different people so every room is different. Some are more updated than others. Though there is so much to do outside you don't do that much in the condo anyway. There are two different pools, a large playground, an activity center, mini golf, free activities at the small store they have inside the resort, and not to mention the nicest beach at the lake! My family has been going here for decades and we keep coming back, it's a great place to get away and enjoy the outdoors.

Place has been amazing in the past but now with more people coming and the community growing updates need to be made and if possible something should be done about the beach. Whatever they did to North Beach should be done here too. The sand is just shy of being gravel. You want a good beach experience go to North beach. Here is a good place to play grass games like spike ball and such.

Ideal beach resort has some decent rooms. They were more than big enough for me and my girlfriends. However, there was no AC in these units. There were thermostats in 3 different areas, but none of them worked. I seriously think they were for show. We had to keep all the windows open and the fans on at all times. That was the worst part is not having the AC. The best part was having the beach to set up all your stuff. The rental office is right there as well. We had rented a wave runner that was in good working condition. They had only left our group of 10 two rolls of toilet paper. We had to go buy more. Oh yeah! Beware of using the on-site grocery store. It is OVER PRICED like crazy. Bring what you need or pay through the nose for it.

We had a large group that stayed at 3 condos at Ideal Beach Resort the first week of June. The condos we stayed in (#120, 127, and 142) had been nicely updated and the kitchens were fully stocked with appliances and pans. Condo 120 was on the bottom floor with a walk out patio which was so nice for eating outside at picnic tables. The other condos were on the 2nd and 3rd floors and there were walk-out balconies. There were propane grills that you could rent for $5 which we used and were great. There were also fire pits on the beach and one near the grills that we used for evening campfires. The lake was quite cold this time of year but we really enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The amenities were great. Lots of activities that you could rent at the store—pickle ball, volleyball, miniature golf, etc. The store did close at 6 pm each evening so be sure to get there before they close. We had a wonderful time and felt very safe since the resort has a gated entrance that can only be opened with a badge. We would definitely stay here again!
